Who Am I?

Growing up in the western side of Africa, Ghana to be precise wasn’t as privileged as compared to the western world in terms of technology, but not the love and care we do have for each other even for strangers.

Fast-forward, I came to Belgium with no intent of making videos nor photography but then I realized people are very different than what I am used to back in Africa. It was shocking, tremendous and depressing in beginning. There were even times that seemed people were racist. With time, I realized we have different cultures and norms.

Vlogs (I am a content creator)

Whiles I kept striving to fit and do what the romans do since I am in Rome, I found some videos on YouTube called vlogs. Vlogs are blogs in which the postings are primarily in video form. In vlogs, the vlogger films him/herself or get filmed by some else whiles the vlogger tells his story or any content of his/her choice.

That was a turning point of my struggle since I can communicate with others, learn from them and also let them know more about my culture. On the other hand, I am also enlightening Africans in Africa how it actually is out here. The media is very peaky in what to publish in both the western world and the 3rd world countries. Not a false image but neither is it 100% true. We are all 50% misguided in a way, in terms of information about other countries or continent.

Work and happiness

Making videos for me is what I call “work and happiness”. I say this because I follow a program at TKO called Multimedia Operator, where I am being taught how to shoot videos and edit them as one of my courses so I get to also practise for school!
